Good for Conversation, Not so for Music

If you plan to use this headset for both listening to music and talking on the phone, I would think twice. The music that comes out of the headphones sound pretty horrible. Really flat with zero base--not enjoyable at all. However, if you want a bluetooth stereo headset that you can use for phone conversations then this does the job just fine.

I have sevear hearing loss and thats why I need this product. The product not only looks good but performs well. The sound is crystal clear and the party on the other end says loud and clear. I highly reccomend this product and Seller. I am going to purchase another one for my vehicle.

This item has given me no problems. The only thing that comes close to an annoyance, is when the party on the other end, stops talking. The noise cancellation stops, until the person starts talking again. Then, momentarily, they are extremely loud. Other than that, I am very satisfied with this produce.

Jawbone Prime - 3rd time is a charm

This is now my 3rd Jawbone and they finally got this thing perfected. I am on a cellphone and in and out of my car most of the day. I have REAL experience with every model.JAWBONE-1 was the best sounding to everyone I talked to which is what I was concerned with. It was way too heavy and awkward to use. Frankly, it looked clunky. The ear fit caused more "fits" than anything else, utterly frustrating.JAWBONE-2 was a big improvement in weight comfort but STILL would not fit right for most everyone. The earloops where prone to break because you would constantly be "adjusting" it. Many times it would just fall out and hang on your ear. This caused the "jawbone" sensor to not make contact with your skin rendering this device basically worse than any other bluetooth headset. The volume was NEVER quite enough and the touch controls were so "touchy" you would almost always cut off your own call.JAWBONE-PRIME - Great example of a company listening to the users. NO Earhook Required, REALLY! They took the approach of the Plantronics Discovery ear gel, and it will fit ANYONE'S EAR!!. At first you almost can't believe it will stay in without a hook but it absolutely does.YOU CAN ADD THE EAR LOOP AND IT'S STILL COMFORTABLE, but, in reality, not needed except maybe for a confidence factor. If you're in a really rough environment on a job site then maybe the hook would add this.It is SO light I suppose it could fall out of your ear and you might not notice that it feel out. The hook may help in that scenario.Looks SO MUCH BETTER when on. - At least people don't look at you like you have an big cockroach hanging out of your ear like so many other headphones. If you like color, (mine's business black) this is a cool alternative for the right person.Volume is awesome! Finally a headset that actually needs to be turned down. Can you imagine this? It's true.Jawbone sensor NEVER CREEPS AWAY from my face. Once you simply turn the ear gel to your fit, it almost leverages itself against your skin to complete the fit.I finally can put this in my pocket without fear of breaking it. Or, I place it in a tiny little belt holster I bought at Best Buy when not in use. THIS IS A HUGE PROBLEM SOLVED. I have lost 2 Jawbones already because I left it somewhere when I took it out of my ear.I hope this review helps someone. I always wonder if anyone actually reads these reviews so let me know if it did.DaveChicago

Very good earpiece.

THE POSITIVES:-Once you determine which earbud fits you best, then you will have no problem with the unit falling out of your ear. I can walk, jog, and even bend over and shake my head and the thing still stays in place, without an ear hook. It is super light and decently comfortable. I've worn it for 3 hours straight without discomfort. I haven't used it with the ear hook, so I can't comment on that...-The volume is great. I've had a problem with bluetooth headsets not being loud enough, since I drive a diesel truck. You can literally turn the volume up until it hurts your ear. It by far has the capability of being louder than any unit I have ever used.-The noise cancellation works good. When testing it, I actually revved my diesel with the window down and the unit on that side of my head. The person on the other end of the call could barely hear anything other than my voice.-There was no noticeable wind noise when I tested it in a steady breeze.-I have been told by everyone that I've spoken to that the clarity of my voice is better with this unit than when using the phone without it. (Motorola Q).-It looks good =)THE NEGATIVES:-It doesn't come with a car charger (although that's pretty standard now days)-It has a special charger that only works with it.-There is still a little distortion in how people sound on my end. They are plenty loud enough, and I can understand them, but it's still there. Now, to be fair to the Jawbone Prime, it could be my phone, since it's the same distortion that I've noticed with all earpieces that I've tried.Even with those negatives, it's still by far the best earpiece that I've ever used.

The best Bluetooth "Earwear!"

I've had a couple of Bluetooth headsets before - both Plantronics. And while they worked pretty reliably, they cannot stand up to this new Jawbone Prime. I recently ordered the Plantronics 925 (liked the styling and color). But after reading the various reviews and watching the videos on the Jawbone Prime, I decided to give this a try. I am glad I did.I just got this today and I love it! The fit is perfect because of the variety of earpieces you have to choose from. I found the exact fit using the smallest earpiece with the little stabilizer loop. I don't have to use the earloop (thank goodness) - that was one thing that prevented me from trying the older version of the Jawbone. The Jawbone is so light that you can't really feel that you have it on. The NoiseAssassin works wonderfully. I made several calls today (to friends and to my voice mail) and the NoiseAssassin cancels out pretty much all of the ambient noise. And the people at the other end said that I sounded very clear.Couple of little things that will take some getting used to: (1)utilizing the hidden button or dimple (on/off, pairing) on the side and the button on the top (last number redial, volume, NoiseAssassin cancellation, call reject). Since it's hidden for aesthetic reasons, it's a little hard to find at first. Once you get used to where it is, it's not a problem; (2)determining what mode the earpiece is in (on or off) since the little LED light is so small and kind of hidden when you press on the side button/dimple. This is minor and just something to learn.Even with these two minor issues, I still give the Jawbone Prime 5 stars for call quality (especially the NoiseAssassin), style/workmanship, and ease of use. I will be returning my Plantronics 925. I wrote a review on this earpiece and will have to modify it after this.

This handset really works! I would give it 10 stars!

This is the same phone/handset as the WCI branded handset. I was asked if I would share my review here too.There were no written reviews for this particular handset when I purchased it, so here you go!The handset itself has some weight to it, it is not flimsy, it does not creek or feel cheap in your hand. The color is flat black, along with the charger base. The charger base is also very well constructed, it too has a solid feel and some weight to it. It has a 3 foot long mini USB to USB cord to charge the base. Mini USB plugs into the base, the other end plugs into a small wallwart that plugs into an outlet, all are black in color.The actual surface area of the phone itself is hard to explain, it is not slick, but almost has a tacky feel to it. It is constructed of some sort of rubberized plastic, it feels good in your hand. I don't see it slipping out of your hands, like when you go for the phone when you are doing dishes and don't quite get your hands dry... You know what I mean. I am very impressed with the quality of this handset and charger base. Someone actually put some thought into this product.Now, how well does it work? I have the iPhone 4, it paired up quickly and easily. The instructions that came with the handset are very clear in regards to using and pairing this device. I was paired in less than 20 seconds. It works flawlessly with the iPhone iOS 6 Voice Command. Pick up the handset, push the connect button on the back of the handset, say who you want to call and it automatically dials, very cool!The sound? It sounds crystal clear with my phone. There is no echo, background noise or hollow tinny sound. I was very impressed with the sound, as was my wife. For my sound test, me and my wife took turns on the house telephone, we called my iPhone and spoke on the handset. We both agreed it sounded incredibly clear and was of fantastic quality. It sounded REALLY good, it did not sound like either of us were talking over a bluetooth unit.Answering the phone, it picked up immediately by pressing the white button on the back of the handset. Very user friendly.Distance was roughly 40 feet, and it works through walls and even through the floor. My wife walked down to the basement and it was clear until she hit a 30 foot distance mark and we then had some static, but the call did not drop. So, you have time to get back into range if you start wandering a bit to far from your phone.Battery life is very good. Easily went an hour+ with mom when we finally hung up. It was still going strong.All in all, this is a high quality unit, we are both very pleased and impressed. If you are in the market for a retro handset, want a quality unit that really works, AND cradles nicely between your head and shoulder, this handset is for you. I highly recommend, and love being able to use a classically designed phone handset again. There are some really good designs from years ago, this is one of them, and glad someone "built this". ;)

So far the gift has been working well... I only have one complaint. I wish that every time I entered my house that the Bluetooth receiver would atomically connect. Instead when ever I receive a call or make a call I have to choose the Bluetooth receiver.

nostalgic value with a twist of bluetooth technology

This brings back some nostalgic value with a twist of bluetooth technology. I would suggest holding it down white button for a full 10 seconds to make the devices Discovered. The Feel of the products is well made, and the customer service was fantastic. I had to get a second device sent to me, due to a charger missing, but the product works fantastic. You can use just about any microusb charger for this device also. Clarity seems to be very well on both sides from the calls placed. I would recommend this device for anyone that doesn't want to hold the phone up to your face for long periods of time, it feels right at home.

Bluetooth without the DORK factor

Awesome product that completely changes the Bluetooth landscape. I received this item as a gift from a person that knows I'm a heavy BT user. I was skeptical at first as i have used similar clip devices that sound horrible and lack a decent microphone. This item works well and has allowed me to put away my traditional BT headset that, no matter how advanced, still looks dorky.Pros:the whole unit vibrates when a call is recievedwhen i have the earbud in my ear i hear ringing in my ear on incoming callseasy to retract the earbudsound quality in the the 7.5 to 8.5 rangeit only pairs with the phone BT profile so you can still pair your media with another deviceCons:comes with a neck strap that is too shortI'll update this review once i've used it for awhile.

Large Head/Neck People Beware

With all Bluetooth headsets you must do your homework before purchasing it.This reminds me of the old fashioned hearing aid my grandfather had.This headset is truly a "headset." With this, everyone will know you are wearing a bluetooth headset. It fits in your ear, and there is a cord that goes do a "clip" box. If you wear or will be wearing a tight top (females a with low cut this may be a problem) be aware you need to clip this somewhere. I had on a muscle shirt and after a hour of this against my skin, it wasn't comfortable. It's a firm clip, and I've yet to have it fall off anything. But again it must clip on something up near your shoulders. You can clip it on the back of your shirt, however I didn't find that comfortable.Some may want the "geeky" look, and if so, this is just for you.Also if you have a "large long" head or neck, this cord can pull if you make sudden movements.An idea would be for Azeca to make a model with a larger cord, so you could run it down your back and clip it on your belt.The product itself is good. It paired up with my Droid 4 without a problem. I hear people well, they hear me well.Range I don't have a problem with as I have my phone within a few feet of the headset at all times (belt, pocket, bag, etc.)The earbud is very comfortable. It fits firm in your ear. No irritation like some others do to the inside of your ear (after wearing it for a few hours).Battery life, I get around 5 hours of straight talk.NOTE that this is the start and I've yet to find a Bluetooth headset that after a few months, the time doesn't go down until it needs to be charged every night. I'm sure this is the battery and until they find a better battery, there's little that can be done.If you don't mind the cord, or clipping it onto your shirt then this is great. It's around twenty dollars cheaper than the other models of wireless bluetooths.
