Motorola ELITE SLIVER Bluetooth Headset - 89503N {bulk packaging}
Product Description
Introducing a Bluetooth headset that's so small, it's barely visible. The Motorola Elite Sliver headset provides excellent audio with increased clarity and richer sound from HD Audio Plus with true wideband audio and CrystalTalk dual-mic technology. Keep on talking--the Elite Sliver will keep up with you with its 15 hours of talk time (and 35 days of standby time).
In addition to voice communication, the Elite Sliver can initiate text messages using the MotoSpeak app (compatible with Android phones), which enables you to read and respond to texts without lifting a finger. With Tap to Pair functionality, the Elite Sliver easily pairs by tapping the charging case against a phone with integrated Near Field Communication (NFC) technology. (Available with NFC-enabled phones that support NFC Bluetooth pairing.)
Get audible updates on phone status with Voice Prompts and listen to music or audio streamed from your phone with the embedded A2DP streaming audio profile. The Elite Sliver can be worn in either ear thanks to its swiveling earpiece.
Dictate texts hands-free as well as hear your texts and the sender's name read aloud. MotoSpeak also allows you to stay informed by announcing callers' names to you, and it can translate 150 text acronyms--such as lol, btw and l8r--so you will never miss the meaning of a message. Get started by downloading the free MotoSpeak app from the Amazon Appstore.
With CrystalTalk dual-mic noise cancellation, the Motorola Elite Sliver lets your caller focus on the conversation without having to worry about distracting noises. Never let background commotion cut your call short again. Due to the packaging of this item there may be slight scratches on the charging pod.

By Paul Vaughn
I am disabled and do not have the arm strength to reach up to my ear to activate/control a BT. I also cannot lift a phone to my face. Therefore, the "voice answer/ignore" function available on a few BT's was a godsend for me. I wear my BT for 14 hours a day, 7 days a week.I have used a BlueAnt for the past 4 years. Truthfully, the BlueAnt Q2 is THE best BT I have ever used. It is, however, a complete piece of crap when it comes to the quality of the build. I have been through 6 NEW BlueAnts in 3 years. During that time, I have repeatedly gotten fed up with the poor craftsmanship of BlueAnt, and tried other BT's (Plantronics Voyager Pro and Motorola Finiti, the most recents). I always end up hanging my head in resignation and returning to my Q2. Not this time. The Elite Sliver is an excellent alternative to the Q2.I am using this device on a Motorola Droid Razr MAXX.COMFORT/FIT - 5 starsThe Elite Sliver is BY FAR the most comfortable BT I've ever worn. It is amazingly lightweight. I have read some reviews that stated that it was uncomfortable or impossible to wear it with glasses. I wear glasses at work, but take them off when I leave. I have no trouble wearing the Sliver in either situation. One of the coolest things is that it is almost imperceptible once in your ear.SOUND QUALITY - 4 starsThe sound quality for calls is superb, better than the Q2. The Q2 sounds a little better for music, however, but not significantly (see MotoSpeak below). The noise cancellation feature is as good as I've gotten. While outside walking my service dog (4-5 mph), callers said I was crystal clear with no wind or street noise. At top speed (12mph), however, I was inaudible due to "wind noise" (see MotoSpeak below).BATTERY LIFE - 5 starsNo problem getting through the day. It's also nice to be able to carry the case and charge via it, just in case.VOICE COMMANDS - 3 starsVoice dialing is controlled by your phone. Therefore, there's no difference in that feature. The voice answer/ignore feature, however, is BT device dependent. The Sliver works, but nowhere NEARLY as well as the Q2. I've been using the Sliver for 1 week. Ninety percent of the time I have to say, "answer" twice before the device responds. I've altered my voice volume, pitch, and the length of time before responding. No change. The Q2never failed to respond on the first try. NOTE - Voice Answer is turned OFF by default. You must go into SETTINGS and turn it on, if you wish to use it.CALLER ID - 1 starSucks! The Q2 imports your phonebook. So when you receive a call you hear the person's name, if it's in your Contacts. The Sliver gives the caller's full 10-digit phone number. It takes about 10-12 seconds for the number to be read. You cannot instruct the phone to "answer" or "ignore" until the entire number is read AND the device says, "answer or ignore." That's about 10 rings. I disabled the feature and enabled "Caller readout" on my phone. This works only when I'm in an environment where I don't mind the caller's name being read aloud.MOTOSPEAK app - 3 starsMotoSpeak is a FREE app. The great thing is that you can hear text messages immediately as they come in...AND you may dictate a response. The voice recognition works very very well for me. I've responded to 8-10 texts, so far, with no errors. The bad part is, with the exception of the texting feature, the app is extremely buggy and poorly designed. You are supposed to be able to use presets for sound quality and noise reduction, via the SETTINGS option in the app. However, I have only been able to actually see these settings twice. They simply appear and disappear at will. I have rebooted, removed, and touched my tongue to my nose trying to get these elusive little devils to show themselves...but to no avail.BUILD - 5 starsThe Sliver seems to be built very well. It is very lightweight but sturdy.Bottom line... 26 stars / 7 categories is a 3.7 star rating. My ratings, however, are weighted according to the importance of that category to my needs. The Motorola Elite Sliver ... so far ... is a well built, superb fitting and comfortable Bluetooth that is barely noticeable while wearing, and allows me to answer my phone using only my voice, albeit a little frustratingly sometimes. All in all, if Blueant gave a rat's a$$ about the quality of the materials used in their Q2, I would probably still prefer their device. They don't, however, so it's moot.

By Dave Pope
The Motorola ELITE SILVER does not live up to the hype. It has very poor reception and cuts out continually. It is too fragile for an item that is removed and worn on a regular basis. The voice reception is horrible in comparisson to other devices that are less expensive. If you are purchasing this item for an iPhone, don't waist your money. On the positive side it is very comfortable and not as intrusive as other Blue Tooth devices. When used with Motorola phones it would rate much higher in the review. My clients that use the ELITE SILVER with Motorola phones love its perfomance, however if you are not using a Motorola phone, don't bother.

By Terry White
At first I thought the fact that nothing hangs out the front of this baby was the big selling point. Then I thought the charging case was great. But then I realized that the Sliver works with music and audio from movies, both with my IPhone and IPad. WOW what else could you want.
