Had high hopes.

I have owned several Blue Tooth devices, and am still looking for the perfect one. This device gave me high hopes, but they were quickly dashed. I drive a semi for a living and was very excited about the advertised noise reduction qualities of this device. To the Cobra's credit the noise reduction IS outstanding! Everyone I talk to claims to be able to hear me perfectly without the hint of background noise. Great, Right? It would be if I could understand what they were saying to me in return. Though the noise cancellation properties are everything they suggest, the fact that I cannot make out what anyone is saying in return completely changes this from rave reviews to completely disappointed. Just wanted to put my two cents out there to help everyone make an informed decision.

Great Headset. Terrific Noise Cancellation!

Most all of my headset use is in the car. I've never liked the in-the-ear Bluetooth headsets, but much prefer a headset with the over the head band and a microphone "wand". But up to now, only wired ones have been available. Then I saw the Cobra Deluxe. I was a little leery, until I tried it! It's amazing... Bluetooth, comfortable, and it's noise reduction circuitry is unbelievable. I drive a convertible and have tried it with the top down, driving 70 with the stereo on... and people still heard me fine! It's only drawback? Lower "cool factor"... to me more than offset by far better performance.

This is my first bluetooth headset, and I'm very happy with it!!! I drive a semi, and it gets noisy in the cab. Yet, everyone I've talked with tells me that the sound is clear. The device fits comfortably over the head and is very light. The battery lasts for 2.5 - 3 hours of continuous talk, then takes about 2 hours to recharge. I bought mine at a truck stop for $85, and it included the 3 chargers (an USB cable, with interchangeable A/C and a D/C plugs). This is great, because these chargers can be used to charge any device with a 2.5mm jack, not just this headset. Overall, great sound quality and a great value, if one buys the package containing all 3 chargers. I'll buy a second headset, so that one can charge while I'm talking on the other.
