By Dennis Meek
Just to provide a point of reference I'm benchmarking my comments again my current earpiece.-Current ear piece: Motorola H17txtPhones used in the testing-Samsung Galaxy S2 Skyrocket running Android 2.3.6-iPhone 4S running iOS 5.1.1 (AT&T)-iPhone 4S running iOS 5.1.1 (Sprint)Comfort-Current Ear Piece: Comfortable but if you break the fully adjustable ear hook and need to use the rigid one it's less comfortable.-HK250: Average comfortOn/Off-Current ear piece: Uses Motorola's flip mic to turn the device on/off. Absolutely my favorite feature Motorola offers.-HK250: Has a slide button which makes it easy to tell when the device is off but not as convenient as the flip mic.Connectivity-Current ear piece: Tells you when you are connected-HK250: Tells you when you are connectedRange-Current ear piece: Roughly about 200 feet. The earpiece will tell you when you are out of range and picks the call back up as soon as you get back into range.-HK250: The range about 300 feet however, if you exceed the ranged the unit will tell you that you are "loosing connectivity" and when you walk back it will tell you that you are "regaining connectivity."Setup-HK250: The setup went smoothly on the Android device however, I had to try pairing the earpiece with the two iPhone's a couple of times before it connected. Once the connection was made I never had a problemSound/Noise Cancelling-Current ear piece: Great sound and noise canceling qualities.-HX250: The sound quality is noticeably less crisp than my current earpiece. In some cases it sounds like you are talking to someone at a distance. Outdoors - no issues in moderate to heavy winds.Pro's-Bluetooth v3.0 + EDR-Talk time is great 7 hours-Standby time was not tested-ComfortableFeatures I wish the HX250 Had-Flip boom to turn on/off the earpiece. This is absolutely my favorite feature in my current earpiece. You never have to guess if the earpiece is off or not.-Motospeak. Motospeak allos you to dial via talking to the earpiece and respond to text messages. Great feature that is a must have.ConclusionHonestly, it would be a better investment to spend the additional money to get one of the following items from Motorola: H17txt, HX550, or Elite Flip. The difference in price is anywhere from $7 to $25 but you will get a much nicer earpiece. All three of the aforementioned items have Motospeak and the flip mic feature.

This is the third headset that I have used. Out of the three I would rank this one second. I found the plastic piece that cups your ear to be unflexible. It should have more give to contour for smaller or larger ears. I let my daughter use it but it would not stay on her ear properly (smaller ear). Also, I would prefer the clippy part to be black instead of clear. The functionality of the ear piece was great though. I love that fact that my phone (android) connected to it automatically and the music that I was playing went to it automatically. The music was clear and even my daughter enjoyed it. The call volume and clarity was good.It would have been nice if this unit came with a car charger. Overall this is a good headset and I would recommend it.

By Flaherty
I have an android phone that I use for personal calls and a basic Verizon phone I use for business. My Plantronics Bluetooth has absolutely no trouble connecting to both phones, so after using this Bluetooth off and on for the past couple of weeks I was surprised to find out that it's supposed to be able to connect to two devices at a time. The Bluetooth I received has never been able to connect to two phones. I have tried several times and it's one or the other, period. Yet my Plantronics Bluetooth has no trouble.I like the simple design of the Bluetooth and how easy it is to change the loop from the left ear to the right ear. It charges in no time and holds a charge for a couple of days. The on/off switch is easy to identify and use as well and the volume button. Overall, I've been very satisfied with the sound quality. I believe I got a dud regarding the ability to connect to two devices at a time. I've experimented with one phone being off while the other connects to Bluetooth, then turning the other phone on and vice versa. As well as disabling and re-enabling Bluetooth and other basic troubleshooting.I have had no complaints from people on the other end of the phone regarding sound quality.I love the Bluetooth and have always loved Motorola Bluetooth devices. I think I'll send this one in for warranty replacement and use my Plantronics in the meantime.
