OUTSTANDING PRODUCT

I run with these on a daily basis and I sweat a lot, the past couple weeks it has been in the upper 90's. I previously had the Plantronics 903 Back Beat and had been using them since March 2010. Great product by the way, I know a lot of reviews were negative in regards to sweat.This time around since there is now a product that is "sweat proof and washabel" I couldn't resist.These fit great!!! I have no issues with the length of the cord around my head and the ear buds fit securly in my ears and are comfortable. The control buttons are also very easy to use. The only one you have to work at is the power button, but taht is OK since I don't really want to accidently turn them off when I just want the music louder. Sound quality is great as well, better than the Back Beat by far. Don't expect some full bass sound and clear acoustics like bose headphone though, let's be honest you don't need it that loud when owrking out.I have also had a few conversations on the phone with these as well. Sound is clear and I haven't had anyone say they can't hear me or that I'm echoy. transition between music and phone is simple with the touch of a button.I have been using these with my iPhone 4s to listen to pandora as well as running the Nike run app. I have not had any copnnections issues between the two even one time and pairing was simple and completed within 2 min out of the box.In the end; you gotta get these if you are looking for a dependable(only had for two weeks)sweat resistant bluetooth headphones.UPDATE - 9-11-2012Still running on a daily basis in 80+ degree weather and sweating plenty and everything is working fine. I have only had the headphones die(low battery) one time and that was after I didn't charge them for 3-4 days. I have currently switched from an arm band to placing my iPhone on my waste(was getting a tan line) and I have not had any issue with connectivity.This is still my recomended pick of any bluetooth headset for active people.

If it had lasted...

When will some manufacturer get it right? Seriously? I'm not sure what number of headsets that I've tried that claim to be waterproof/actionproof/lifeproof, etc. Either I have toxic sweat that corrodes the innards of these pesky devices or they just don't last. They last about a week before crapping out.One to the review. The Philips SHB6017 worked fine right out of the box at least. Included in the packaging you get:-the headset-a USB charging cable (with NO wall adapter....)-a few different ear tips-the worlds shortest instruction manualBasically, right out of the box, I had to go to Philips website just to figure out how to pair the headset. Points down already.Pairing. Super easy once you know the correct way to pair the stupid thing. My iPhone 4 paired flawlessly the first time.Ear tips/buds. Yes, you'll probably need them. Otherwise, the headset tends to slip out of your ears. I'm not sure of my ear canal size relative to the world at large but I ended up using the largest ear tips.Fit. I had no trouble keeping the buds in my ears. I thought that the cable did drag a bit but overall the buds fit just fine.Sound. Surprisingly tinny. And low volume. As I mentioned, I've got an iPhone. To hear my music in the gym, I found that I had to crank the volume all the way up. On my regular headset, if i crank the music to the top, I'd blow out my eardrums. I've got some spoken word albums and they are hard to hear with this.Charging. I'm not sure if you're always supposed to charge with a computer, vs. a wall outlet. Then again, unless you have a wall adapter, you're not going to charge this from the wall. I only used a computer to charge this.Duration. Um... it died. Basically, would not take a charge. Worked fine for about a week and that was with me babying the unit. I made sure to never leave it in the car, or bang it around.Great concept. Just failed in execution. Just like every other Bluetooth headset that I've tried in the gym.

Had tried three other headphones, after an hour or so they would begin to hurt, did not stay in place while running.. These are hands done the best I have tried ... Mine came with instructions in 3 languages so I'm not sure why the other user had a problem u less he bought them used.. Paired in less than 2 minutes with my iPhone 5. I highly recommend them.. I haven't tried it for call.. That's not why I bought them.. I wanted to run and workout with a sweat proof product and this does that!!
