Droid X User is loving the first hour with this PLATINUM bluetooth!

Wow - the pictures on Amazon showed a platinum Q2 but the title listed it as black. I took a chance, and here is my beautiful Platinum Q2.Pairing could not have been easier, and it automatically copied my contacts/phone numbers. It sounds better than when I am holding my Droid X to my ear. People do not know I am am on a bluetooth, and now I can stop using my speakerphone in the car!Furthermore, the piece fit my ear perfectly - didn't have to change any pieces to get a better fit.Now, I just have to read the manual and go through the learning curve!A FEW DAYS LATER... Still extremely happy. The buttons are small but I easily adjusted to using them within the first day. The learning curve to use this was simple, and I can finally say that I have found the perfect headset.BONUS>>> Ease of use means that I am no longer looking at my phone while in the car...at all. I was becoming increasingly concerned that I was looking down while driving at 75 MPH and that I was justifying it. So, other drivers and I are now safer on the road.MORE BONUS: Just realized that my Droid x charging cable works with the Q2!

As close to perfection as they come.

I have owned dozens of bluetooth headsets starting with the Ericsson HBH-10 that I special ordered from Europe (first bluetooth headset ever). BlueAnt puts out some great products, but the Q2 is by far their best effort. Although my first one did not survive an eight story fall, I immediately purchased a Q1 (I was remodeling) to replace it, and then another Q2. Sound on these is as close to perfect as you can get. Whether it be in the car, the office, or out and about, I can carry on a conversation just about anywhere with clarity on both sides. I should note that I have a 50% hearing loss in one ear, so it is crucial that a headset have both clarity and volume. The Q2 has both. As a matter of fact, it is hands down the best I have ever had.One of the most important features of this headset is voice command. I never have to touch my phone to answer a call, and when you put Siri into the mix, I can accomplish most things hands free. Nobody in the market can remotely parallel BlueAnt in this arena.The only real shortcoming it has is battery life. I am a heavy user, so I depend on my headset. I absolutely cannot get through a day on a single charge. Granted, I average 5k-7k minutes per month, so there is not a chance most headsets could keep up with that. However, the Q2 is good enough that I bought a second, so my backup is always charged.The only reason I did not go five stars is battery life. If it had at least double the talk time, I would happily hand over that last star.

This is indeed the platinum model and not the black. Having said that, this is a great device. Easy to pair, loaded my contacts immediately, and had very little learning curve.I have a Plantronics 975 and the voice contol of the Blueant simply sets it apart as a great headset. If I have any criticism of the Blueant, it would be the On/Off switch. It's really in an inconvenient place and diificult to access for me.I have used Blueant products for a few years and have always found them to be reliable. It may be helpful to know that my phone is a Blackberry, so I can't say how it would work with other brands.How could it be improved?- shorter charging time- a better case! A velvet bag, really?
