Very bad voice quality

This product has very bad sound quality. I hooked it up to my laptop to use with skype in my office. When I did the test call it seemed to work not too bad but then when I call a real person it sounded terrible and the person on the other end could not understand me. It also felt uncomfortable against my ear.
